The Vulcan AS90 Backstay Anchor from Anchor Systems International Ltd is a purpose-built ground anchoring solution developed in line with the ENA TS 43-91 technical specification for stay fittings on overhead poles.

Available in 2m and 3m configurations, the backstay system uses a galvanised and plastic-coated Vulcan Earth Anchor® tendon, offering long-lasting protection against corrosion and electrical faults. A built-in continuity band provides a safe earthing route in the event of lightning strikes, ensuring compliance with electricity distribution safety standards.

Our colour-coded tendon system aids rapid selection and installation in the field. These anchors are widely used by Distribution Network Operators (DNOs) across the UK for supporting new wooden pole construction.
